Student teams from FRIDAS and Obninsk branch of GUU have succeeded at the all-Russian contest of the international SIFE movement (Students in Free Enterprise). FRIDAS team has won the nomination «Key terms in finance» and received a certificate worth 40 thousand rubles as the first prize.

24 universities from Russia competed in the contest. FRIDAS students presented an original program adapted for the loan policies General Electric Money Bank. Students have tried the elements of this program in Obninsk and many citizens now recall the team of young managers on bikes dressed in t-shirts with financial terms printed on the back.

E. Mekhtiev, Head of General Electric Money Bank recommended his marketing managers to adopt this approach and offered FRIDAS and OB GUU graduates employment at the bank. Other big players, such as KPMG, Wimm-Bill-Dann and others, also expressed their interest to employ FRIDAS and OB GUU graduates.

Kaluga regional Government actively supports SIFE activities in the region. A recent meeting of G.Yu. Artemyev, Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council of Kaluga region, and A.A. Sotnikov, Chairman of the Regional Innovation Committee, was devoted to innovation activities of the young people in the region and support for them.
